BioHello. My name is Tim. I write novels, usually around one a week, if it's a good week. I am 24, dodecalingual, and technically unemployed. In May of 2001, I graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with four degrees. One of them was in Japanese. Another one was in journalism. Hell if I know what the other two were for.
Like the Sex Machineguns once sang, "I live in Japan." I don't really do anything here.
Well, I guess you could say I write magazine articles. It's the least I can do while waiting for my books to become t3h famous.
I have a monthly column appearing in Britain's gamesTM magazine, and I also write Japan-related things for Play, from that same fine Britishy country. For kicks and money, I am the Japanese correspondent for giant-eat-your-children-megasite IGN.com, and they're fixing to pay me pretty well so I can move out of this coffin.
Yes, I live in a coffin.
Kind of.
And I have a digital camera.
And I have a guitar, with a case and everything. My punk-rock band ★☆LARGE PRIME NUMBERS☆★, for which I sing angry lead vocal in Japanese, may or may not be rocking a basement in Tokyo somewhere as you read this.

I actually don't update this journal anymore. It was something of an experiment in nonfiction-fiction, and it ended. If you'd like to add me to your friends' list, I will, without fail, add you back, and probably leave disturbing comments on your entries, which you will love. Be warned, though, that the "real me" isn't at all an asshole.
I'm kind of curious about these things. Just perhaps not dangerously so. Judge for yourself.
If you're in Tokyo, and you'd like to meet for tempura, leave me a comment. I'm always up for tempura with strangers.
Hell, I should add that to my interests' list: "Tempura with strangers."
Oh, and visit insert credit. As I recently pitched it to someone else, we're "a perfect mix of LOL stuff, WTF stuff, and OMG stuff."
